Mozilla's Firefox 4's browser usage share grew over two and a half times in the six days since its March 22 launch, a web analytics company said today.
According to California-based Net Applications, Firefox 4 accounted for 3.7% of all browsers used Sunday, up from last Tuesday's 1.4%.
Firefox 4's Sunday share was double that of Microsoft's newest browser, Internet Explorer 9 (IE9), which was released March 14.
Overall Firefox have lost 2.5% of their users, and IE 4.8%, while Chrome have increased their users with 5.3% the last year. Apple Safari have increased with 1.9% in one year.
That is insane! I love Firefox 4, Chrome and Opera.

ReplyDeleteEasy. No one uses IE anymore, Firefox is great!
ReplyDeleteChrome is pretty nice, too.
FF4 for me.

ReplyDeleteIE is going extinct. Yes!
ReplyDeleteI guess I'm not the only chrome-lover here. It changed the way I use the internet. Explorer is like a dinosaur: heavy and inefficient and obsolete, and now on the verge of extinction.
ReplyDeleteI use firefox only, I never touch IE!
ReplyDeleteFirefox is wonderful. This chart really doesn't surprise me.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really surprised. IE blew its chance in the browser wars a long time ago. 9 seems like a solid release but I think the damage has already been done.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me happy.
